The flu had been around for a couple of days and shown no sight of eventually stopping. For Ash's Mother; this was a concerning turn of events as flu season had gone and went with nothing substantial happening to her son. Ash had been recently toilet-trained -- quite easily, in fact. But this particular strain of common flu had an infamous tendency to affect the lizard immune system in many different ways compared to their warm-blooded anthropomorphic friends.
A side-effect of certain types of flu leaves a lizard or two with a sensitive bladder. For Ash -- having proudly wearing his underwear as a sign of his triump in potty training -- eventually flipped as his bladder was seemingly unable to control itself even in the most basic of situations.
His underwear was eventually removed. Which immediately fustrated Ash to no end; his body wriggled and turned from side to side as a pair of controlling hands invaded his personal space and held him down.
"Don't wriggle," Lara grunted, "You can't walk around without protection."
"Why do I gotta wear this?" Ash huffed, "Nuttin' wrong with me! I don't feel bad!"
"I'm not arguing over this," Lara replied, she pulled the sides of her son's diaper over and applied the sticky tapes onto the landing zone. With Ash's crotch area now covered in absorbent padding, she felt less resistance the longer the diaper clung to his body. "This flu is bad, honey. We can't have any accidents on the carpet."
"Not fair!" Ash moaned, slightly feeling his cheeks burn red in embarrasment, "My friends dun' wear diapers!"
Arguing with a three-year old wasn't going to make things better. Lara knew that. She grabbed her son by his waist; hoisting him over to his drawers and collected his brown shorts, soon slowly pulling them up and adjusting his buttons. Despite having to re-diaper her son -- he looke adorable with the sudden blatant bulge appaearing in the back of his shorts.
"Run along, honey." Lara smiled, "If I catch you trying to rip that diaper off, then you're gonna be in so much trouble."
