The real story begins almost a whole year later as spring flew by and your last year at high school ended. You had finally turned eighteen and graduated with the plans of going to your state university, which you had managed to get a scholarship for due to your days spent in cross country.
So, the story begins on that fateful day which all parents secretly look forward to. The day their child finally moves out of the house. And you were already very late.
"Come on, John," called your mother. "Janet is already late for for RA training!"
You sighed. Though you were happy you got into your state school, it also meant being uncomfortably closer to your older sister Janet all the time. In fact, where you were going was something of a college town with no less than five big schools within a twenty mile area. You would be wondering if you might run into any friends from high school, if you weren't under pressure to be packing. Your mom was berating you for waiting until literally the last minute to pack as you hurriedly threw all of your socks from your sock drawer into your suitcase and scurried out the door. All of the ones that had been packed, including the ones tainted by Witch Wash.
Yes, life had gone on in the Wallace household with no one discovering the secret behind the magical laundry detergent. After all, it wasn't like trying on each other's clothes was particularly common place. Though in the course of the year, your mom did commit to a weight loss routine only to get discouraged when she discovered she was not a pound lighter after two months due to constantly wearing her own clothes affected by the detergent. You were just happy to get away from it all. Happy to start a new life with a new identity, expecting some big changes on the horizon for yourself.
Little did you know just how big the changes for yourself were destined to be.
And so with bags packed, off you went unaware of tainted socks you were carrying just waiting for the opportunity to be worn. That fateful event would finally occur when during your college career?
