You frowned. Something sounded familiar about this.
"And well he's really mean to a lot of people. But I'm sure that's just because he's hiding some secret anguish and just needs a woman to love him properly!"
Was she crazy? Ugh you hated the fact that girls like bad boys and not studious students like yourself! It just wasn't fair.
"So why are you telling me this? Do you need advice?"
Chloe laughed nervously. "Oh no I've already made my decision, I am going to date him. I just don't want to ruin our friendship."
Now alarm bells were starting to ring.
"What do you mean ruin our friendship? Why would you dating someone ruin our friendship?"
Chloe looked down and then looked straight into your eyes. "It's because I'm going to be dating Chad."

Now that you were older you saw less of him as you were in classes he didn't qualify for and you weren't in the sports classes he was in but as recently as a few months ago he had knocked you down when he saw you in the hall. And for no damned reason. And now the crush, the one you thought was your soul mate was going to date him?
And it was obvious that Chloe wanted you to be OK with it. But can you be OK with it? Can you say that your friendship won't be impacted even if she dates that meat head?
