Fishlegs was hopping excitedly from one foot to the other. The spyglass Hiccup had fashioned was being clutched in his restless hands.
"I saw a new dragon." He explained to Hiccup and Astrid, having raced as quickly as he could to the academy.
"I almost missed it, as it was so snowy white against the clouds. But it was made for speed, sleek and smooth like Toothless." He cast a guilty glance to Meatlug, "Speed isn't everything." he said to his dragon.
"I think it's heading this way..." He added with anticipation in his voice.
"But, I lost it to... come here." His hurt clear.
"From which direction?" Hiccup asked, as he mounted Toothless. Astrid leaping onto Stormfly's back. As Fishlegs' arm showed the way.
"I'll see if I can head it off." Hiccup volunteered.
"I'll protect the livestock." Astrid said.
The animals were more used to the dragons now, even perhaps a little too casual to almost ignore the risk of a wild dragon. Attempts by Ruff and Tuff to spook them, or Snotlout to practice low-level flying over the herd.
Fishlegs bit back suggestions and advice that rushed to be said. Knowing they all shared the best interest of any dragon, of every dragon. However, a wild dragon was an unknown. Especially a species they'd not encountered before.
Slipping onto Meatlug's back, she whisked the air, taking off gently and puttering towards the entrance. Hiccup already a vanishing spot heading out to sea. While Astrid was sped Stormfly towards the meadows where the sheep grazed.
