Eat in the Cafeteria like the other students.

Citrine pushed open the heavy oak doors of the Grand Hall cafeteria, immediately hit by the roar of hundreds of students and the overwhelming collision of smells. Stewed kraken tentacles, charred dragon ribs, and the sharp tang of pickled glowshrooms all battled for dominance in the air. Her sensitive goblin nose twitched, instinctively cataloging each scent layer – the burnt crust on the dragon ribs, the undercurrent of stale sweat from the crowd, the faintest whiff of ozone from a nearby lightning-mage's overcooked experiment. She clutched her lunch satchel tighter, the familiar, comforting aroma of her own frog nuggets and earthy toad spawn soup a small anchor in the olfactory storm.

Most students clustered around long communal tables, laughing and shouting over steaming plates conjured by the Academy kitchens. Citrine hesitated near the entrance, her green skin seeming brighter under the enchanted skylights. She spotted an empty corner table, partially shielded by a towering potted fern dripping with bioluminescent dew. Perfect. She slipped past groups of chatting elves and arguing dwarves, acutely aware of the occasional curious glance or wrinkled nose directed her way – reactions she'd long learned to deflect with practiced indifference. Her pointed ears caught snippets of conversation about elemental finals and illicit love potions, but her mind was already drifting back to her notes on concentrated skunk musk dispersion patterns.
