A few weeks later it was time for midterm exams. This drove Madison's stress level through the roof. Not only did she have all her usual work to do but she also had to study for the exams. Her contact with the outside world was getting dangerously low for someone as popular as Madison, but she figured that her grades were more important. Besides she could reconnect once the exams were over. At least that was the theory she was running with.Most days would consist of Madison waking up, going to class, eating lunch, doing work at the library. Then going to her labs, eating dinner, and finally going back to her room to work on homework.
One day after classes Cassie came into their room to find Madison sitting at her computer, typing some sort of paper, munching on a bag of potato chips. "Right where I left you." she commented jokingly hitting Madison on the shoulder.
"Hey this paper is due tomorrow. I still have another page to write. I lost track of time studying for that stupid chem test." Madison turned around in her desk chair and was a little surprised at what she saw. Cassi had unbuttoned her jeans and was now laying down on her bed, rubbing what could only be described as a belly. Angry red marks showed where the waistband had cut into the soft flab. Cassi had definitely gained weight, probably close to the dreaded freshman fifteen. Madison was so engrossed in the sight that she nearly missed what Cassi was saying.
"...So yeah I figured we could all go party this weekend, since we'll all be done with our midterms. What do you say?"
"Yeah sounds good I guess."
I guess? Since when has Madison Kraft not wanted to party? Cassi looked at her roommate. Something was definitely different about her. She had been very docile lately, more engrossed in her books and laptop than boys and the gym. Upon closer examination Cassi thought she saw maybe the tiniest bulge over the waistband of Madison's jeans. Her mood wasn't the only thing that was changing...
