Sarah chuckled as she held up a pink onesie, “Now, this brings back memories.” Your sister glanced around the abandoned nursery like visiting an old friend. “This used to be my room until I turned five, that’s when I got my big girl room.”
“I remember that,” Julie remarked as she held you down. “We had our first sleepover on your first night.”
“But,” Sarah grinned as she glanced at you like a cat would a mouse. “If I recall correctly, a certain two-year-old banged on my door all night.” Your sister shook the onesie, “This was mine, I used to sleep with it and dream of dressing up my little sister.”
“But,” Kris interrupted. “Your parents wouldn’t let you put it on Evan?”
Your sister chuckled, “Actually, he was too small. Evan came super early, and we hadn’t bought any clothes yet, and my stuff was too big.” Sarah approached you and slowly dressed you in the onesie, “Look at that, still such a tiny little thing!”
“We should rent him out to the neighbors,” Rebecca joked.
“Yeah,” Emily agreed, “Big Baby Playtime, twenty dollars an hour.”
“Available for kids’ birthday parties.” Rebecca added, “Baby showers, and…”
“Weddings!” Kelly finished. “For the bride and groom to push in a stroller. Because, you know, first comes love…”
“Then comes marriage.” The other girls joined in, “Then comes a baby carriage.”
Your sister and her friends laughed while you shouted muffled protests. “What’s he saying?” Kelly inquired.
“Well, obviously,” Sarah chirped. “He’s telling us how much he loves his onesie.” The girls laughed. “Now then,” your sister grinned, “Let’s…”
