The rogue had many of years of experience dealing people who wanted to stop her from her activities and for now the best thing she could do was wait. Her riding lizard was tired from a long day of travel and it didn’t have the endurance a horse did but things would change if she waited. The horses didn’t have the endurance to the heat of the desert sun so she would just have to be careful when she rest because things would soon turn in her favor.
Moving into some rocks she settled down for the night making sure to set a few alarms and traps for unwanted visitors. Seras looked out over the desert but didn’t see any fires or camps in the distant before starting a fire for an evening meal. She didn’t want them to know she was onto them if they know they might rush into an action before she was ready to strike.
A full belly and a long day went for an easy sleep and she was out nearly as soon as she closed her eyes. Sleep was precious and needed to be taken when you could get it. A jolting sound woke her and she quickly drew her blade. She slid out of her bedroll with practiced experience making sure to leave a lump for any unwanted intruders.
Seras slung a crossbow over her shoulder and vanished into the shadows. No further sound could be heard so either they had backed off or they were being far more cautious but she was willing to bet her life that she was better in the shadows then they were. Heading to the location of the alarm she saw no one had come close to her camp. In the distant, she could see a figure running across the sand.
