Beast Boy moped about Titans Tower, the team had just returned from another battle with the High Five and all of them were exhausted and ready to try and relax in any way possible. The Shapeshifter however had worked up quite the appetite during the fight and made a mad dash towards the fridge as they entered the common room.
"Alright! Time for some Tofu!" he cried out while flinging open the fridge door only for his pointy ears and smile to droop in sorrow at the bare interior of the refrigeration unit. Not a single square of his vegetarian friendly food remained only Cyborg's massive amounts of meat, some of Starfire's bizarre cooking that still looked alive, and some of Raven's own snacks. Beast Boy had to suppress a whimper of disappointment.
"Oh my that is most of the unfortunate Friend Beast Boy" Starfire offered her sympathies as she floated on by. Robin hardly noticed as he went to his quarters to follow up on the latest lead on Slade. Sadly, Cyborg didn't follow his friends sympathetic or silent leads.
"HAHAHAHA!" The metallic man's loud voice hurt Beast Boy's sensitive ears "If only you would just eat REAL food BB then maybe you'd actually grow to a decent height. Come on try some meat. Or just keep eating your disgusting tofu, if there was any...... OW!"
Raven released her powers from around the remote control she has used to bonk Cyborg's head.
"Will you shut up? As much as I find Tofu repulsive I respect Beast Boy's decision to commit to vegetarianism, even if its the only mature thing about him."
Leave it to Raven to someone compliment and insult him at the same time, Beast Boy thought angrily. So much for his teammates being friends. His empty stomach, exhaustion from battle, and impatience with being treated poorly as if he were the bratty kid of the Titans was building up. He'd show them, he'd eat whatever he wanted and also show them how mature and big he could be.
