"Damn, not me too!". However, your hand touched the opening. He felt his body leap from the chair and his legs fling into the air as he was pulled in. It felt like he was as loose as pasta as his hand, arms, and then body were squeezed into the box without any apparent pain. He looked back to see the lid close behind him as he descended into darkness. A peaceful zen state came over him as his eyes closed. And then nothing.
You wake up in a rather ornate but large room full of food, furniture, pillows, and nearly everything you would imagine in a palace. Bernes looked over to see Grisham leaning against the table to stand up.
"What the hell was in that box? Where are we?"
Bernes stood up and grunted as he regained his balance, "I say that we were both sucked in. But I have no idea where we are".
"Welcome my friends! It's been a long time since someone opened the box!". Bernes and Grisham looked over to see an older man sitting at the table eating some fruit. "I must say, I never had two people take the box up on its offer"
Grisham lumbered over to the man, "Just where in the world are we old man?!"
The man smiled, "The name is Iman by the way. And yes, you are in the box as your other friend guessed. But it seems you don't know what it was for. You see, this box was used as a way to create as you would call it genies"
Grisham's eyes got big,"So you mean, we decided to become a genie?"
Iman laughed, "Well, that remains to be seen. I am not that cruel. The choice is really yours. I can take you back if you aren't interested..."
Bernes replied,"What would we do if we were interested?"
Iman smiled, "You would need to eat the food I give you in celebration to start the process. That is if you are interested".
"So we would be locked in a lamp if we went along? That would be disappointing!"
"No that's a myth. I can't say more but I can tell you that you would not be tied to a lamp. Rather, you would be walking about normally as any person. Just a bit different. So, which one of you wants to try?"
