It was time to initiate phase two of my little experiment. While I now stood at 6'1" and Matt had been reduced to 5'6" to match his sister, it was high time Tina got to know what it felt like to be taller than her brother.
While Matt was currently in the bathroom, I began preparing the remote underneath the table. Tina didn't seem to pay me any mind as she turned back to her breakfast. I couldn't grow her just yet as it would become to obvious. I needed a good distraction.
"Hey Tina?"
"Yea, mom." she answered.
"Could you go into the pantry and get the salt? I need a little bit more for my breakfast." I asked.
"Sure." Tina sighed.
This was perfect! I'd now be able to grow her without her noticing. The salt sat on the top shelf o the pantry, a place that she struggled to reach and I couldn't without a chair at my natural height. I could barely contain my excitement as I watched Tina rise to her feet and make her way over to the pantry.
She slid the door open and looked around for a bit before grumbling. The salt was on the top shelf. Right where I left it. Tina began to stand on her tippy-toes and reached up as high as she could. Little did she knew reaching the top shelf would no longer be an issue.
With her back turned and a grin on my face, I aimed the remote... and fired. I looked on with mad glee as Tina's t-shirt and boxers began to fill out as her height rose. She didn't seem to notice which was good and her height finally capped off at Matt's original 5'9".
Before Tina knew it, she was able to grab the salt with relative ease. She then walked back over to me and I thanked her accordingly. We both finished our breakfast soon after and I saw Tina make her way upstairs.
I was a bit disappointed that neither of my children noticed my height change. I could tell just by looking at them that they felt something was off but quickly pushed that thought away. Oh, well. At least I got to see Matt's brief shock when he noticed he and Tina literally saw eye to eye.
As I began to wash dishes the familiar sound of shouting filled my ears. I couldn't be more happy. I ditched the dishes and made my way upstairs to see Tina holding a set of clothes, banging on the bathroom door.
"Hurry up in there! I need to use the bathroom too, ya know!"
I couldn't hear what Matt said on the other side, all I did know was that he managed to annoy Tina even more. She began to bang on the door with much more force this time. She wanted the bathroom and wanted it now.
I continued to watch unnoticed... then a happy smile broke out on my face.
