Even though the ring had given her knowledge of it's workings, Rouge did not want to start off with someone particularly dangerous. If the ring had left something important to hypnotize someone like Amy or Blaze, she would be in a world of hurt. It was for this reason that Blaze remembered the plant-girl that had won Tails' heart. At the very least, she seemed to be the perfect bribe if Tails' found out.
