Ann starts up a conversation...

"Now," Ann says, "Do you know how you found your power?"
"No. It just came out like... I can't even describe it."
"Hm. That's how it often starts. Virtually every hero started that way."
"Speaking of which, why haven't I heard of any people like this?"
"There are two main reasons. One, people are often scared of what's different. Second, they don't know how we are going to use them. So news networks and the government have done their best to suppress the information. Sometimes to the extent of killing people." Shane just looks at her, hoping for her to crack a smile. She doesn't. Wow, Shane thinks. This is some serious business.
"Is there any limit to what super powers a person can have?"
"Not as far as I can see. Some powers I've seen are pathetic. There was one person who could transform their hands into any inflatable object. Others, however, are incredible. One called himself Midas. You know the story?"
"Yeah... So this school-"
"That you will find out in due time."
