After Homeworld ceased its threat against Earth and peace had been established between the Crystal Gems and the Diamonds, Steven had spent his time helping establish proper relations between the two planets. It was during this stretch of time that he had received an invite to join the three heads of Gem society at the station he had visited once before while trying to save his father. It would be the first time he had been there since, as well as being properly shown the facility.
An escort fit for royalty had taken him to the space station, as well as Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl. Once their ship had docked, he was greeted by a trio of happily smiling Diamonds who were accompanied by Holly Blue Agate and the amethyst guards.
"Welcome Steven," White Diamond greeted. "We are so glad that you could visit us here! From what I was told, your first experience with this place was... less than pleasant."
"Yes, I hope we can improve your outlook of this place once we give you the full tour," Blue Diamond chimed in with a gentle smile. "You didn't even get to see the full scope of this station's purpose."
"There's a very important reason that this place exists, beyond trying to preserve something of Pink's. And, now that we have ended the centuries of animosity between us we can finally share that with you."
Steven began to feel nervous, as all three of his...aunts, he supposed...crowded him, making it hard for the young gem to breath. The teenage boy almost had to deploy his bubble in order to escape the overbearing attention of his relatives. Thankfully, Garnet cut in to save him from the smothering love of the giant women.
"Perhaps one of you should take Steven on the tour, while the other two manage getting everything ready for the welcome party," offered Garnet.
Steven was grateful for the suggestion. It granted him a reprieve and made it so he only had to handle one of the overbearing giants, as opposed to all three at once. He voiced his agreement with the fused leader of the Crystal Gems. After that, it didn't take long to get the Diamonds to agree.
