14 year old Hiro Hamada was walking down the halls of one of the several buildings of the San Fransokyo Institute of Technology. The black haired boy had a long day of classes and was eager to get back to the Lucky Cat Café so he could relax and unwind. As Hiro made his way out of the building he turned his head seeing in another room that Gogo Tomago and Honey Lemon who were looking at a rainbow colored rectangular prism. The boy-genius deciding to pop in and say hello to the older students.
"Hey Honey Lemon, hi Gogo, what are you guys looking at?" Hiro asked curiously as he walked into the room as Honey Lemon and Gogo kept looking at the rainbow colored object. "Oh hey Hiro, Freddy's dad found this gem on one of his expeditions and gave it to him as a gift and Fred wanted us to take a look at it for him." Honey Lemon explained with her normal cheerful tone.
Gogo blew a bubble which popped before speaking "Fred asked us to 'do 'science on it' and see if there's anything special about it, which I doubt there is." Gogo said with a roll of her eyes, doing air quotes while saying the word science. "We aren't even geologists so what does Fred even expect us to do with it." Gogo says waving the prism around in her hand.
"It is not like something is going to wrong, I don't see any harm in humoring Freddy, besides maybe we will learn something about it. If it turns there is nothing special about it we just give it back to Freddy and let him know, if there is no harm, there is no foul." Honey Lemon said, always trying to see the positive in things.
"Fine, we'll run some more tests on it, but you owe me" Gogo sighed as she grabbed some materials from another table as she was considering some possible ideas regarding the rainbow colored rectangular prism.
"Do you guys mind if I watch you guys experiment on the gem?" Hiro asked with a small smile thinking that if he provided Gogo and Honey Lemon with company that it would the testing somewhat more bearable for the girls.
"Oh that would be no trouble at all Hiro, go right ahead and pull up a seat, more people is always fun, right Gogo?" Honey Lemon asked cheerfully, Hiro went ahead and set his things down before sitting on a plastic chair.
"No, but Hiro's alright so he is an exception so he can stay." The Korean woman stated monotonously, Honey Lemon sighs at Gogo's bluntness but doesn't let it bother her as the tall blonde started grabbing her own set of materials for experimenting on the rainbow object.
Hiro watched with a small smile as Gogo and Honey Lemon did a variety of tests on the semi-mysterious object. While Hiro would deny it if asked, he had a crush on both Honey Lemon and Gogo, finding both women to be extremely beautiful and amazing in their own ways.
Honey Lemon and Gogo first tried encasing the rectangular prism in a variety of different but safe chemicals, each time there was no reaction. Gogo not really caring about the prism or Fred's feelings tried to cut into the gem, it was at this point it was made known that the rainbow prism was much more durable than it appeared, no matter what Gogo used to try and cut the gem, nothing would work, in fact there weren't any scratches on the prism whatsoever.
"Well now we know it is super durable." Honey Lemon said with a smile as Gogo frustratingly slammed a laser cutter onto the table. Hiro trying to resist the urge to laugh at Gogo's frustration.
"Do you mind if I take a look at it?" Hiro asked standing up and slowly walking closer. "Sure go ahead, not like it would change anything." Gogo stated bitterly turning around so she was no longer facing the prism.
Hiro walked up to the table where the gem was resting before he picked it up and then there was a blinding flash of light that filled the entire room. When Hiro could see again he noticed with a gasp that he had shrunk to a mere inch in height. However when Hiro looked up at Gogo and Honey Lemon he realized he wasn't the only one affected by whatever the light was.
