This choice: The mall, but for toddlers • Go Back...Chapter #8The mall, but for toddlers by: Unknown Had Kitty retained some memory of the world before the shift, she would've practically fainted at what the mall looked like now. Clothing stores advertised the most childish of garments, men and boy's clothing seemed to focus on trucks and dinosaurs and whatever passed for sports in this new reality. While girls clothing had become frilly and girly, colored in pastels, or focused on fairies, ponys, princesses, and cute animals. Whenever anybody seemed to wear anything at all, it seemed that along with potty training, modesty seemed to have been swept away, the only constant was the diaper, though there were those in the "nakie phase" that would do everything in their power to stay nakie.
As mommy pushed Max's stroller through the mall, Kitty looked as all the bright colors, and all the pretty pictures. She saw the big playplace in the center of the mall, its slides and tunnels and bright colors, "Mommy, can I go play?" She pointed and made a pouty face. That normally worked.
Mommy looked and she said "No. We have to get stuff. Maybe next time." Kitty pouted and looked back on the play place as it vanished around the corner. Mommy led Kitty into a big store, it had lots of stuff on the shelves! "Alright Kitty, let's get--". Mommy stopped as she bent forward and began to push, her face running red as she focused hard on making poopie. Finally she straightened up as her diaper sagged noticeably behind her beneath her frilly skirt.
"Mommy!" Max called from the stroller "I went poopie!" Mommy sighed and pushed Max over to one of the changing tables in the store and Hagen to change his diaper. Kitty took this time to look at the people around her, she still had that weird feeling that something was different.
She saw a girl her age and her mommy wearing matching diapers, which was cute, she saw a girl pushing her older sister around in a stroller, while a bit odd considering their age, everybody grew up at different speeds (had she been able to count that high, the younger girl was about 12 and her older sister was about 19). She looked over at another family and saw a daddy changing the mommy's diaper, as much as she looked she couldn't see anything that looked strange or made her feel weird.
Mommy hopped up on the changing table and began to change herself, and Kitty looked around some more, this time at the shelves, they had baby bottles, sippy cups, lunch boxes. Everything that the store normally had, and the changing tables were usually in use at some point during the day as a mommy or a daddy or a family needed to use one.
Mommy hopped down from the changing table and began to grab some colorful food boxes off the shelf, Kitty reached for a pretty box that had a fairy on it 'fairy snacks' the box read. "Mommy, mommy!" Kitty held the box right in mommy' face "can we get these?"
Mommy took the box and put it back on the shelf "No Kitty, we don't need these, maybe next time." Kitty pouted and followed mommy to the front of the store where she had a card go through a funny flat thing before they left.
Once they got home and mommy had put away the groceries, she put max out on the front yard where he crawled around playing with his toys, and mommy took Kitty out on the porch so that mommy could keep and eye on both of them. "Does Kitty want nummies?" Mommy asked as she took her dress off
Kitty's eyes grew and she smiled one of the biggest smiles all day "Yes! I want Nummies!" Kitty waited until mommy sat down and she was about to lay down to get numkies when Max crawled up and took one of mommy' boobies. She pouted, she liked having both boobies to herself. Mommy pulled her down and let Kitty have her other booby.
Just like that, the funny feeling disappeared as she suckled on mommy' booby on the front porch in for the whole world to see.  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
