You go into the kitchen to make yourself a late night snack. You just had dinner an hour ago, but there was always room for a PB&J, as far as you were concerned.
You finish making your sandwich and are about to go back into the living room when you hear the phone ring. You look at the caller ID and see that it was from Tony.
"Hey Tony," you say, "you get to your beach house already?"
No, I'm not even halfway there yet Alex. I'm at a roadside diner, and then I'll probably sleep in a hotel for the night. I'm calling because I wanted to tell you something before you found out yourself."
"What is it?" you answer.
"I wanted to tell you that I left the boxes that were full of Megan's things in your garage. I'm sorry, but I didn't want to have to take them on the trip, and I also couldn't bear to throw them away. So I decided to just leave them in your garage until I get back, and then I'll have decided what to do. I hope it isn't weird or anything to have her things in your garage."
"No Tony, its no problem at all," you reply. To be truthful, it DID seem weird, but you know he has been through alot and didn't need to go through the pain of getting rid of everything that made Megan Megan. You could do this for him.
"Thanks man. I'l call again when I get to the beach house. Tell Emily I love her." he says before hanging up.
You put down the phone and go to the living room to watch eat and eat your sandwich. You think about the fact that all of Megan's things are now in your garage. Again, it is kinda weird, but at the same time a part of you wants to sometime look through the boxes. Maybe if you were around her things it might me a way to feel close to her again.
