At first, Samus was relieved to be free from Ridley. She pondered where he came from, how he got so much stronger, and what had happened to kill him and let her free. She soon dropped these quarries as she remembered she still had a 200 foot drop ahead of her.
In her powersuit, it would be no biggie, but she hardly had a Zero suit at this point...
She saw several areas towards the ground that might cushion her landing. It was a longshot to hope that this fall wouldn't be the end of her, but she'd been lucky so far...
