A macro lion plucking and eating people

You look behind you due to the loud pounding and you see a giant lion slamming his paws onto the ground so he can block people and furries to eat them. The lion couldn't be too much older than 11 years old, but must have been over 100' tall. You duck into an alleyway so you can watch his rampage from safety. You watch in terror as the lion starts to eat more people who have no hope of escaping. You then notice something that is even more terrifying: it looks like he is getting bigger.

Why does it look like he getting bigger?
