I am going to tell you about an experience I had. On December 21st, 2008, I was visiting at a friends' house. I had their little boy on my lap; he'd been my buddy all day. We were being silly and goofing off. I was tickling him every few minutes, and he would laugh his head off. It was so adorable! I love kids, and seeing them happy is just priceless. I tickled him a few more times until WHAM , his head smacked right into my front tooth, breaking it completely in half and exposing the root. I had no idea until I spit the other half of my tooth out of my mouth. I was more concerned for the kid. His poor head was even bleeding a little bit. It wasn't until a little bit later, after leaving, that I noticed how sensitive and painful my tooth was. The root was literally sticking straight out, exposed to every single little breath, and it HURT! I was able to get an emergency root canal the next day and was given a temporary crown. The crown was supposed to have been replaced within a small window of time but, having no insurance and not much income, I kept it on until it fell off almost five years later.
