We all have someone we've always wanted to sit and chat with, but...

But what author (living or dead) would you like to sit down and talk to and why?

I'll start us off. Just as I found out Dragoncon was renamed for Anne McCaffrey's DragonRiders of Pern works, she passed away, and thus though it is a con I used to drive past every year about that time of year to visit family... I never got to thank the author singularly most responsible for getting me into reading novels and writing.
