Acid Tongued

         I agree.  It is a compliment.  If your writing is good enough to create a strong emotion your audience is being affected by your work, which is usually positive.  (There are probably times when gratuitous violence will illicit the same reactions but for no particular purpose and I would say this is not good - of course some would even say this is still a positive).  Being disturbed or shaken will often mean someone has either been changed for a split second or (all the better) their general outlook has been altered for life.  Take care
