Blinded Mind

Forbidden secrets
once buried within my heart
can now be revealed.

I am finally released
from the anguish of my past.

For my fear and shame,
which haunted me all my life,
has melted away.

For a moment, I had doubts-
“Maybe it’s only a dream.”

“For so many years,
my humanity was dead,”
my blinded mind thought.

But my heart scolded my mind
by saying, “Never again.”
