Thanks, Lady of the Lake Azure for taking the time to write such a terrific review of Nemesis. Your post received an incredible amount of views, so I know that everyone enjoyed it as much as I did. I happened to like Nemesis because I feel that any movie is better than none. All of the critics highly agreed with you, so I hope we can still get another movie in the future. You made several amazing points. I found your point about "Le Morte de Arthur" really interesting. "The entire movie seem rushed and spliced together poorly" I think it would have made many great episodes. ". "The cast of characters (except for Picard) seem to have forgotten how to play their roles..." It's been a long time! " The extra cakes of makeup couldn't hide the fact that Brent Spiner was looking older..." LOL That seems so funny! "Actually in all honesty all they really need is some originality and freshness" ...Some Writing.com writers maybe??? LOL Here is a copy of what I wrote after I saw it: Wraith did a fabulous job with spoilers in his post on this forum. Please see post 462 if you didn't already. :) As for mine: I agree with Beetle that the ending was a little abrupt. I wasn't too shocked that Data died, because I knew all about the movie before I saw it. I was glad, though, that B-Four has all of Data's memories downloaded. I guess he's not really gone -- he lives in his brother. Wraith made an excellent point when he said that a long time character like Data, should have had a longer, more played out scene when he dies. Did you notice the labels on the wine bottles? They were from the Picard vineyard. I was happy to see 'Spot' in this movie, even though it was only a bit part. This movie had so many action and battle scenes. I especially like how Picard got to drive the shuttle -- right through the ship! I was glad to see that most of the characters each had their own 'big attention on them' scenes. -Troi was able to sense the location of the hidden ship. -Riker had a suspenseful fighting scene. -Dr. Crusher gave the DNA news. -Geordi had his moments with his pal Data. He once again impressed us with his programing knowledge. (Gee, Geordi is smart. LOL) -We got to see Worf get drunk! "Romulan Ale should be illegal." "It is!" I liked when he kept wanting to raise the shields, but Picard wouldn't let him. Of course, Picard and Data had the biggest scenes of them all. ![]() ![]() "Invalid Item" ![]() "Invalid Item" ![]() "Fuzzygrams!" ![]() ![]() "Invalid Item" ![]() "Imagination Alphabet" ![]() ![]() "Movie Talk" ![]() ![]() "Star Trek Message Forum" ![]() ![]() |
