A poem about being left. For no apparent reason, just when you needed the person the most.

Love Gone Bad is the catagory

(I wrote it below anyway, just in case)

We were strangers starting out on a quest
Never dreaming what was ahead of us.
Now here I am, standing, in the middle
But where are you? Nowhere to be found.

You said you'd be there,
When the world stopped turning,
You said you'd be there,
When the storm finally ended.

I know now that my dream of us was never real.
But it was nice to believe,
That you'd be there for me, for us
We started life together, but you weren't after that.

I just couldn't help falling,
Hook, line and sinker for you.
You appeared to do the same, all the more
Just for me and our "endless love."

Some things are meant to be
When I needed you the most, on my quest
I found myself alone, dreaming of the past
Thinking of you, and wishing you were here again.

Now that I have had time to reflect
I know that it wouldn't have lasted anyway
It was nice to believe,
But I'm glad it ended before it went any further.
