Overall, not a bad week though some stuff. Need to blog about the doctor visit things and have good thoughts for things to turn out okay. Mom's birthday went over well. She said it was the best one over the last several years. Happy I could give her a good day. Not much on the writing front but there is still the weekend. Goals 1. write 3 stories 2. get all of the stuff for mom's birthday ready before Wednesday 3. do tai chi videos every day 4. go to gym twice 5. work on organizing bedroom 6. work on 1 craft project 7. make salted caramel cupcakes 1. Not so much. I did manage to write one flash fiction story but need the weekend to get more things done. 2. Done! They aren't long, just about 5 minutes or so but am off to a good start. Plan to keep doing it every day for the rest of the month. 3. This one I didn't do. I was going to go this afternoon but shopping at Costco was tiring, so I took a nap instead. 4. nope. Focused on mom's birthday and stuff instead. 5. ummm no. 7. This I did do. The cupcakes were a little dry. Not a fan of the recipe I found online for brown sugar cupcakes. But the whipped caramel filling and caramel buttercream were both good. I made the carame for the filling and used Hershey's caramel sauce to add to the butter cream for the frosting. |
