In celebration of Friday 13th, what is the scariest thing that has happened to you in real life? I think the scariest thing was when my 10-day old son Tristan had a severe case of RSV. I wrote about it in a story, "A Scary Experience" . At the though, I think I was too worries to be really scared. You know it's serious when you go to the Naval Hospital and find the ER jam packed (Many people treated ER like a regular doctor's visit in 1987 it seemed), but you're wait is less than 5 minutes. Or when the doctor arrives in less than 5 minutes, and the color of his face drains (like in cartoons). It took 4 grown men to hold him while a spinal tap was done. 5 days in Children's Hospital Seattle was something else, Wow! ![]() Jim |
