Hmm. Would S🤦♂️   believe me if I answered with a story of his that I read in the first few months of my membership at WdC? I don't remember the title, but it was a horror story--a guy was walking home from a pub through rugged terrain and stumbled on a corpse... That's one of the first stories I remember being impressed with. I'd better go look it up...Ha! Found it: "Mud Underfoot" Another is a poem I reviewed a couple days ago by a newbie, Emberly Gray  .
