SOLVED

Actually I was writing everything in Docs app then transferring over. But 2/3 of the writingML fails. OOH I wonder if doing that will fix it make it process it.

OK, so that wasn't the solution per se but it was the thread I needed to pull on. OPEN that symbol and then post, then diddle with it till the bits are purple.
