I've been through hurricanes, tornado's, earthquakes. These are the ones I've experienced. The worse weather I deal with being in the Upper Northeast of the USA are what we call Nor'easters. It's a counterclockwise rotation of Northeast winds that come off the ocean bringing tons of moisture. If the air is cold enough we get the snow I mentioned below. If not, we get crazy rains. I'm close to the North Atlantic near the Canadian Maritimes. Our real last blast we had was about 12 days ago. Prolific snowstorm which dumped anywhere from 3-4 ft [91-122cm] of snow. This year we've picked up to 150 [381cm] inches of snow so far to this date. It's been a crazy winter here. |
