I'm okay with the link instead of the button. That said, can you create just a tad more vertical separation between the link and the Submit Review button? The bold definitely helps, but knowing me, accidentally clicking on the big green button while intending to click on the smaller text link will not be a one-time mistake... FYI, here's my particular use case... I have a lot of stuff that I do on the site across a whole bunch of activities, so I have a need for a high volume of stored settings. Not complicated or voluminous storage, just a lot of instances of little things. For example, I have a review template for the official contest, the Bradbury Contest, Anniversary Reviews, etc. Nothing fancy, just an activity-specific logo or verbiage to save the specific requirements of each activity (most of which do have requirements along those lines). Similarly, I have lots of stored templates for other things (Quill Award nomination emails, official newsletters, blog entry headers, etc.), not to mention the Quick Text settings I'm already using for basic formatting assistance (I may have given up my request for an emdash in the editor bar itself, but you will have to pry my emdashes from my cold, dead hands! If the new editor's Quick Text is meant to replace all the other places on the site where we "store" this kind of "template" stuff (e.g., review templates, signatures, emails, headers, etc.), I actually think that's a potentially interesting new workflow, to have a one-stop shop in the new editor for all manner of "pre-formatted" thing instead of various templates stored in various different places around the site. But... if that is the ideal new way of doing things... are we still limited to the 20 slots that the old Macros used to have to be confined (I think that's due to the limited availability of Hot Keys)? Because if I move everything over to one place (Quick Text)... I'm definitely going to need more than 20 slots. And — at that point — preferably a way to manually organize/structure all the Quick Text shortcuts so I can group things together, put priority or frequently-used Quick Text at the top so I don't have to scroll down what's sure to be a very long list of Quick Texts, etc. Is that a possibility? I'm definitely open to a new workflow, as long as we don't lose functionality or make existing functions harder for those of us who use them... and I'll be the first to admit that I'm probably one of the most fringe test cases in terms of volume of activity, so I'm always coming at this from the perspective of being able to do things at scale without maxing out resources. |
