Here we are. Thanks for the extension. First Review for Ichabod Crane Hello, I am reviewing your portfolio for the 26 paychecks activity. Portfolio tab: Your Portfolio heading shows a photo of a cat. That's always nice to see. You also gives us a welocoming message with a somewhat cryptic last sentence. Your portfolio ( unlike mine) is well organized into folders of poetry, short stories, flash fiction, word searches, and few other things. It seems logical enough. Review tab: Your request for reviews is on. You don't say anything about your reviewing style. Perusing, your reviews, it seems that you prefer to make brief comments about whatever stands out for you in a piece rather than attempt to follow some template. Biography Tab: from here we learn that you are a computer technician from West Virginia who has also been a lay minister and standup comedian. that last, intrigues me and I don't see anything more in your portfolio about it. We also learn that you are mainly an author of poetry who also wants to write a murder mystery novel. Notebook: You have a fairly active notebook. Recently, it seems to be mostly posts about the weather as well as a few updates about what you have been doing. Blog. The introduction to your blog contains more information about your biography. Among other things. it reveals that you "got married which was a mistake I had to deal with." I see noe elaboration on this. Aside from that, you blog seems tobe mostly about your experiences as a lay preacher and the religious meditations which came from that. Community Tab: I honestly don't have much to say about this except that you are preferred author with quite few merit badges. I see that a lot of them are for 7 day streaks so you must be extremely active in this site. Second Review for Buddhangela Hello. I am reviewing your portfolio for the 26 paychecks activity. Portfolio tab: Your Portfolio contains a greeting and states that you are returning to WDC after a hiatus. Welcome back.. Aside from that, your portfolio includes a few items including one which is apparently a book of things written for this very activity. You also have a folder which is things wriiten before your hiatus, and it looks like most of your poetry and fiction is contained there. Reviews tab: Your Reviews Tab is on. You give a fairly complete view of what you like and dislike to review. Your biggest issue seems to be that you don’t want to review items that have not been proofread. Aside from that, you touch upon several different genres. Perusing your actual reviews, I see that you like to follow a template but do not follow it slavishly. You start with impressions and move to takeaway. Biography Tab: Here is where we get to know a little bit more about you. You describe yourself as a “booktrovert”. I’m probably that too. You also describe yourself as an “evolving” writer whatever that means. There’s actually not a whole lot of personal information here, but maybe that’s how you wanted it. Notebook Tab: Your notebook is very active. Your most recent entry asks an excellent question that I might spend some time pondering. Aside from that, I see that you use your Notebook to help keep up with various things that are happening in the WDC community. It’s definitely one of the more active Notebooks that I have seen. Blog tab: Now this is by far and away the most interesting part of the portfolio so far. Your introduction is intriguing including the warning about it your use of swear words. The most recent entry is fairly standard about returning to WDC and also giving an explanation for whyyou haven’t been writing much new fiction, but in the entry before that, you really come to life. I honestly hope that you can work things out with your husband and sister-in-law, but it sounds like a nightmare. I hope keeping this blog provides some therapy anyway. Community Tab: I never really know what to say in this section, but you have been given quite a few Merit badges for being on WDC and also giving reviews so you are clearly a very active member. Third Review for Robert Waltz Hello. I am reviewing your portfolio for the 26 paychecks activity. Portfolio tab:We are shown a picture and an introduction which seems to empahsize your ability to imbibe. The last sentence of your intro gives me the feeling that you are a person of casual tastes which is fine. Your actual portfolio starts with something called Carrion Luggage. I clicked on this and was quite enthralled by what I found. I read the introduction about the bird and also the entry about political polarization in America with fascination. I will definitely return here for more. Reviews tab:Your Review requests are on and you say that you will review everything which I appreciate. You also admit that you prefer shorter works to longer works. Perusing your actual reviews, it seems that the you are relatively formal in your approach covering four areas briefly. Biography Tab: We get a nice view of you here,. I particularly enjoyed your answer to “Style of Writer”. I think it’s the best way to answer that question. Notebook Tab: Well, it looks like your notebook is mainly for announcing additions to your portfolio. There’s nothing wrong with that, but it’s not particularly exciting. Blog tab: It turns out that Carrion Luggage is your Blog. That’s fine with me. Clicking on your Blog tab, just now gave me an excuse to read your most recent entry all about Shakespeare. It was awesome. Community Tab: Forthe the third time, I have to tell someone that the Community Tab is not that exciting to me one way or the other. I can see that you are very active in the site and have been given several awards. |
