Just off the top of my head I would have to say Romance. I haven't been writing long, so most has been flash fiction, short story, and poems. Romance is an emotion that has to be garnered. I have problems with manipulating emotions which is what romance is to me. Someday I'll get into a characters head deep enough to start laying out roses or setting up scented candles. I'm just now learning to use emotions in a story without the story just going in a straight line from point A to point B. I would love to write something like I have seen here in some ports. The kind of romance that not only sends chills but causes the occasional 'giggle' for emotions. I love those story's just for the reactions the words really cause in us. That to me is masterful writing. Just adding a romantic scene or two in a mystery may help. It would make it more dimensional story and pull the reader into the characters lives. The relationship between two loves would be engaging to write, I am not sure I could do something like that justice. Maybe in the future there may be a romance. Maybe not. Only time will tell. |
