The text of the three emails I sent for portfolio reviews: Hi, buddhangela Portfolio: I like the image here. The port being organized into "old" and "new" items, separated by hiatus, is an interesting choice that probably helps you as much as anyone visiting your page. Reviews: It's clear that you know what you like and dislike, and set firm boundaries. I see that you are open to review requests. Biography: Seems to be enough information to get an idea of who you are. Notebook: While you haven't been back active here very long, I've seen your activity on the Newsfeed. Blog: I was already following your blog, which I think has a succinct explanation of what to expect in the header text. Community: It's obvious that you were, and once again are, active in the community. Hi, Dawn Embers Portfolio: Putting the bulk of your port in nested folders is a good organizational method, I think. Reviews: It's apparent you've put a lot of thought into how you handle reviews, but maybe still need a little more thought with the "let me ask someone" bit under "I'm good at..." Biography: What stands out here to me is the image, though I feel like the information provided is adequate to get a sense of what kind of writer you are. Notebook: It's evident that you're fairly active in the Newsfeed. Blog: Seems to be a fairly active blog, one or two entries a month, and, again, I like the image in the header. Community: This tab is evidence of a high level of site activity. Hi, AbbyAG Portfolio: While I see you don't have that many items, which is not surprising for someone who's been here less than a year, they are already well-organized into subject matter folders that, presumably, will serve to organize any new writings. Reviews: You have Review Requests set to "On," but I feel like it might be helpful for anyone looking to request a review if you added some detail about what you might and might not wish to take a look at. Biography: I see that you spent your childhood in the city where I live, which doesn't mean much, but it's cool. It's possible that we were even here at the same time, as I came here in 1983. The other information you give is helpful to explain who you are. Notebook: It seems you're fairly active on the Newsfeed. Blog: None. It is, of course, optional. Community: Though you haven't been here that long compared to some others, I can see that you're active in the community! |
