Text of Email ▶︎Hi Ichabod Crane ,
I'm stopping by your portfolio as part of Task #3 in the "26 Paychecks " activity.
At first glance, your main Portfolio is immediately engaging, thanks to the large profile picture of a cat. Your BioBlock text is warm and inviting, and your Highlighted Items are a mix of useful links (i.e., the shortcut to your poetry folder) and activities (i.e., The Take A Break Forum). The only one that I'm a little confused by is Ridges and Hollers, which seems to be a blog of some kind, although I would suggest perhaps clarifying that a bit in the item itself so visitors know exactly what they're clicking on.
According to your Review tab, you've done a fair amount of reviewing (over 600!) in the nearly three years you've been on the site, which is a great pace. Keep up the good work there! You might want to consider filling out your reviewing information at the top of this page to give other WdC members a sense of how you give feedback and find items you're interested in reviewing.
Your Biography tab is mostly filled out and gives visitors a better sense of who you are. Also, your Notebook tab indicates that you post in it regularly, which is a great way to connect with others on the site. Nice job!
The Blog tab points back to that same Ridges and Hollers item for which, again, my only small suggestion would be to include a little more specificity about the fact that it's a blog, to keep potential readers from overlooking it or skimming over it.
Your Community tab indicates you're quite active in the community, especially with maintaining your daily streaks and forum posting (in addition to reviewing).
All in all, I really enjoyed having the opportunity to get to know you a bit through what you've posted in your port. I've interacted with you a bit on the site (most recently through "The Bradbury" ), and it's nice to get a better sense of the person behind the profile. Thanks for allowing me to peruse your port, and I hope have more opportunities to connect in the future!
Best regards,
Jeff

Text of Email ▶︎Hi IceSkatingSugarCube ,
I'm stopping by your portfolio as part of Task #3 in the "26 Paychecks " activity.
At first glance, I'm immediately drawn into your Portfolio, particularly the joke about your interests (but not necessarily in order of importance), and the link to your Amazon page. It's also colorful and utilizes emojis, indicating someone who doesn't take things too seriously.
According to your Review tab, you've done a fair amount of reviewing (over 400) in the nearly eight years you've been on the site, which is a decent pace. You might want to consider filling out your reviewing information at the top of this page to give other WdC members a sense of how you give feedback and find items you're interested in reviewing.
Your Biography tab is mostly filled out and gives visitors a better sense of who you are. I also noticed that we're close to the same age; I was also born in 1981, although at the very tail end of that year. Also, your Notebook tab indicates that you post in it semi-regularly, which is a great way to connect with others on the site. Nice job!
The Blog tab points to a main blog item that has a trinket, featured merit badges, and accolades the blog has received, which is a great way to draw the reader in and get them invested in your personal writing.
Your Community tab indicates you're quite active in the community, especially with maintaining your daily visit streak and forum posting. You also have quite a few awardicons featured in your trophy case, indicating you've been quite successful with your writing on this site thus far. Well done!

Jellyfish -STOP THE WAR!✌️
Text of Email ▶︎Hi Jellyfish -STOP THE WAR!✌️ ,
I'm stopping by your portfolio as part of Task #3 in the "26 Paychecks " activity.
At first glance, your Portfolio is visually interesting, particularly with the colorful profile image of a glowing jellyfish, and a succinct but informative paragraph in your BioBlock indicating where you live, and things that you really enjoy.
According to your Review tab, you've done a modest amount of reviewing (over 800) in decade-plus you've been on the site. You've taken the time to fill out your review information, which is a great way for others to get to know more about your tastes, preferences, and reviewing style. We seem to have a similar focus on positivity and honesty.
Your Biography tab is mostly filled out and gives visitors a better sense of who you are. Including some of your favorite books, musicians, movies, etc. is a great way to connect with other members of the site (I also love Clueless and X-Men!). Also, your Notebook tab indicates that you post in it semi-regularly, which is a great way to connect with others on the site. Nice job!
The Blog tab points to a main blog item that looks like it hasn't been added to since a BCOF challenge back in August 2025. That looks like it was a really fun challenge, and I'd encourage you to post again in the blog when you have the time and inclination to do so; a more recent entry might help alleviate feelings that it's been abandoned or is out of date.
Your Community tab indicates you're active in the community, especially with maintaining your daily streaks (except for reviewing) and forum posting. You also appear to be quite the trinket collector; we have that in common! I also see that a former member awarded you an awardicon for being "WDC's Best Vegan." I'm not sure what all went into that award, but congratulations!
All in all, I really enjoyed having the opportunity to get to know you a bit through what you've posted in your port. I've interacted with you a bit on the site , and it's nice to get a better sense of the person behind the profile. Thanks for allowing me to peruse your port, and I hope have more opportunities to connect in the future!
Best regards,
Jeff
