It could be interesting to read a book about someone who chooses a religion as an adult or older teen. You don't mention from which religion (or lack thereof) you converted to Catholicism, so that is definitely a needed detail. When you say, "Whacked with a two by four" do you mean literally someone hit you with a large piece of construction material or was that metaphorically speaking that people criticized you too hard and discouraged you? Like you, I also want to use the Daily Writing Challenge to keep working on my novel idea. I know all the words have to be new, but I can do that while telling the story that I am trying to tell.
