I agree about the octopodes. One of my favorite examples is the one where a scientist is trying to take a picture of an octopus and the octopus takes the camera and snaps a picture of the scientist. Crows remember faces and can hold grudges against people that offend them. Also, tigers. There was a story I heard where a hunter shot a tiger and stole the tiger's kill. Well, the tiger survived the gunshot, tracked the hunter down, and killed him.
