I'm sure for most there's a flash of irritation. Folks generally don't like to be told they're wrong or that they made a mistake. For myself, that flash can intensify based on the issuer of the admonishment and how soon it follows on the heels of the last one (whether from the same person or someone else).

A favorite handle overlaying a US Army shoulder patch I proudly wore for many years.
