"Pete The Cat: Three Bite Rule" by James Dean

This is another fun kid's book featuring my beloved Pete the Cat character. Well, James Dean's character, but I love him, so there you go. The book starts out with Grumpy Toad not wanting to try a banana and Pete and his Mom encourage him by sharing their three bite rule. They apply the three bite rule to all kinds of foods and even to having Pete's mom try riding his skateboard. The three bites became three pushes / tries on the skateboard. There's a really funny twist at the end of the book at a potluck when Grumpy has something unusual for his friends to try on the three bite rule. Overall it's a great lesson on it being okay to try new things. Give them three bites / chances, and if you like it, great, if not, you tried something new.
