Yes, I agree it is not the definition of a nuclear winter but we don't need nuclear detonations to create such a scenerio. The difference between that and a nuclear winter, which you already know = There's no radiation. But either one will destroy the planet and all life. So, climate change would be a moot point on a dead planet. JMO. But again you can call me Mr. Doom and Gloom...lol
