I come here sporadically, so I my reasons for replying without any good pattern is that I just kind of check in here to see what's going on.

Once I've said my piece or opinion on a certain thread, I will only reply more if I got a reply in return. There has to be a back and forth between me and one other person.

Because I am typing, I get to give my whole answer in one go. Sometimes, there isn't anything left to add on my part even if I get a reply. My most recent interaction in this forum was about AI in creative writing. I felt I had said what I wanted to say. I traded a couple of reactions with others here, but there was no more need for more words.

One other reason why I will stop replying to posts is that I feel that online discussions, by nature, are echo chambers. I will enjoy a reply that agrees with my opinion or that builds on it. I know that I can't convince anyone of my point of view if they have typed up theirs here. I know this because others will not sway my point of view on things unless they have hard evidence that they can back up that I did not formerly have.
