It was definitely not for everyone...or mixed audiences. movie title
Honey Don't
I really wanted to like it, the costuming was good and the main character was interesting. And some of it was really well written and acted, but there were so many loose threads at the end that it just felt disjointed. Honestly, at the end of the movie I really just felt like WTF did I just watch.
There is a lot of lesbian sex, and gratuitous violence, both domestic and random. The church is really put into a bad light and the minister has intercourse with many of his partitioners and his female drug dealer. The sex didn't bother me. But there was a lot of it. Also a lot of emotional things were brought up and NONE of them resolved. It's a weird one.
I will say, that at the end of it I realized that I need to make sure that I am covering character motivations, even for small things like being barefoot on stage in front of a room full of people. ***stares up at Antagonist story and tries to figure out where the passage that explains that should go***
