A month-long novel-planning challenge. NaNoWriMo'ers welcome! 2026 sign-ups open Sept 1st. |
This can be a tough one. Some years for NaNo, I would write romance novels and they don't often have a person as an antagonist. Often, it's personal things in the protagonists that might get in the way of the romance. Occasionally, there might be a mother, sibling, or ex that causes problems but not always is there a villain in the form of a person. This year I'm prepping novels with detectives and cases like murder and missing person's. So, there are villain there. The missing persons are taken by someone that I need to figure out still who is trying to create a ritual to do something big with magic... Obviously need more details. Non-magic one.. I have a murder mystery and yes, it is the widow. I need to come up with her reason. Helps that my mom loves shows like Snapped and Buried in the Backyard. Searching for Inspo when I can. Will have to take into consideration discussions here and come up with something good when we talk about antagonists for day 10. |
