October Novel Prep Challenge

I've started a new book. 'On Teaching and Writing Fiction' by Wallace Stegner.

In the forward I read this:
"... the nameless physicist of the 40's explaining that the finest antigravity machine he knows of is the floor upon which he stands;"

Now that made me think of sci-fi. And the limits of gravity.

Perhaps the Socratic method is useful here?
