Wine. Specifically, a good (crisp, hints of apple, pineapple, or citrus) Chenin Blanc for whites, and a good (bold, peppery, berry, complex) Cabernet Sauvignon for reds. Liquor, well Whisky. Irish. Kilbrin's my favorite. Second, a good bourbon Old Fashioned with a bourbon soaked cherry and lavender bitters over ice. Stranahan's or Basil Hayden's. Both have a subtle vanilla, caramel finish with just the right amount of oak. |
