You can do whatever works for you, but to be eligible for prizes, you'd need to adhere to the 72-hour rule. As noted in The Rules, "The point is to get you disciplined into writing every day, but life sometimes interferes. Therefore, you may work ahead or fall behind and catch up later, so long as you don't exceed 72 hours between logging completed assignments."

More info on this is in the pinned note at the top of the forum, written by yours truly a few years ago but still applicable.
