That's exactly why Critical Thinking Skills is important. They won't have to be "taught" about influences that shape behavior. They will be able to think logically and not fall into "influence traps." Teaching why someone acts the way they do will obviously have the teacher's opinion on the subject, rather than letting the student find answers logically by analyzing the possibilities.
