Last week went… well, okay actually, but mostly because I had more time than usual to get my reading and writing done. Still, I didn’t do nearly as well with that extra time as I should have.
This week looks like it’s back to regular, so I’m keeping mu usual writing goals. I’m hoping I can up my productivity compared to last week, though, and get some more reading done.
Core Goals
Write, edit, or outline every day: Same number one priority as always.
Continue new WiPs: Somehow, I ended up working on two different short stories simultaneously. One I’m in the middle of writing; the other I just started outlining. I’m hoping to progress on both of them this week.
Get exercise: A good habit I want to continue. I hope to get 2-3 exercise sessions done every week.
Stop snacking: I finally succeeded with this goal last week. Now I “just” have to turn it into a habit.
Do vocal exercises: Yet another good habit to keep going. I should be doing the vocal exercises 1-2 times a day.
Stretch Goals
Read short stories: Just like last week, I don’t have a firm goal for this one, but I want to read/listen to stories until I have found at least one I enjoyed and can put on my list of recommended short stories for my blog.
Be active on Codex: I’ve kept up to date with the forums the last couple of week. I should keep that up, but I also want to update my author thread.
Do a WYRM review: I have a nearly completed review I just need to finish.
Do another WYRM review: I got behind last week, so I want to do a catch-up review as well.
Submit short stories: This one is a bit tricky. I don’t currently have any short stories that need to go out on submission, but I have a dozen or so doing the rounds, and if any of them comes back with a “thanks, but no thanks”, I want to send them out to other magazines right away. That should be doable, unless I get a bunch of rejections right at the end of the week.
