Looking at my checklist, this doesn’t seem like a bad week. I reach all my writing goals, and I did quite well with a couple of my other goals, especially the “no snacking” one, which I’ve struggled with quite a bit.
It does feel like I could have done a lot better, though. I failed most of my reading/reviewing goals, and even though I did get some writing done every day, including the weekend, I had the time to get more writing done.
I’m not sure exactly what happened, but the motivation/energy wasn’t quite there. I just hope I will do better next week.
Core Goals
Write, edit, or outline every day: Yes. And for the second week in a row, I even managed to getting some writing/outlining done both Saturday and Sunday as well.
Continue new WiP: Though I wasn’t as productive as I should have been, I did manage to progress a bit on my current short story project.
Edit and submit flash story: I got this done early in the week before my motivation well ran dry.
Get exercise: Again, I should have done better, but I did get a couple of exercise sessions in during the week, especially in the beginning.
Stop snacking: Right. This one goal at least, I felt went well. I’ve been struggling a lot with it the last couple of weeks, but this time, I managed to stay away from snacks until the weekend.
Do vocal exercises: Another goal that went much better this week than the last previous few weeks. I got around to doing the exercise twice a day.
Stretch Goals
Read short stories: I feel like I could have done better with this goal. Though, I’m not sure I’m entirely to blame for this one. I did listen to two short stories and started on a third (the goal was at least two stories), but all of them were surprisingly dull, so I sort of gave up after that.
Be active on Codex: Nope. And this one annoys me, because I think I could have found the time.
Do a WYRM review: Same with this one. If I had been more productive, I would have achieved this goal as well.
