October Novel Prep Challenge

To clarify, the 60K thing was something I threw out as a possible goal to replace NaNo's 50K. That is, it's for November, not October, as it were. I'd advocate for continuing to let people set their own goals for Prep, whether it's 10k or 250k or whatever, though I think we'd continue to focus on fiction writing, not any of the many Rebel possibilities. (I have an idea for a 30-40k nonfiction piece, but we're just not geared for that here.)

I think it's important to separate "how we're going to handle Prep without an external NaNoWriMo" and "whether we want to fill the void left by the collapse of NaNoWriMo."

Again, just my opinions. I'm not volunteering for anything at this point except having some role in Prep, as I have had in the past.
